'IF' the spare key works in warm weather then it will work in cold weather so that's not the problem! .. Full scan test required while engine is COLD so fault can be determined ... Consider leaving vehicle at repair facility overnight so it can be tested and mechanic can view live sensor data 'before' engine is started.
