after I turn car off the cooling fan continue to run
I know but mines will not cut off it is still running and it been about a hour now
Cooling fan ASSEMBLY replacement required .. Fan control module is an integral part of the assembly .. Common problem for this vehicle and the Ford Edge! .. Module can fail due to an OPEN circuit and the fans will not turn on .. Module can also fail due to a SHORTED circuit to battery power and the fans will not turn off! .. Fan assembly is available aftermarket via Dorman Replacement Parts .. Most parts stores will be able to get this for you or may have it in stock .. Can check online prices as well... Remove maxi fuse or unplug fan assembly wire connector to stop fans BUT restore power to fans before driving!
my husband disconnect the battery and that made the thief lock the car down so now it will not start what must I do to turn it off
Fans continually running may have drained battery enough it will not 'crank' the engine .. Try jump start... Disconnecting battery should not activate 'factory' anti thieft.
