can A misfire cause electrical problems in a 02 Lincoln continental ????

The misfire alone should have nothing to do with it, but the cause of it might be related.

Turn on the car and carefully wiggle connectors, possible wiring issue, check grounds as well

YOU MAY WANT TO INSPECT AIR FILTER BOX TO SEE IF RODENT DEBRIS IS THERE. IF SO, RODENT MAY HAVE CHEWED ON WIRING CAUSING THIS PROBLEM. EASY ENOUGH TO LOOK AT TO START WITH.

rodent can definitely do that...look at wiring harness under fusebox near air box...follow it. Another thing you can do is find one of the circuits that isnt operating correctly such as lights that wont come on...put a circuit breaker in the fusebox instead of a fuse...they sell some at autozone and o'reillys that are shaped like the minifuse this car uses, rated for 10,15,20,etc amps...try and turn the lights on...the circuit breaker will reset itself repeatedly instead of just blowing and stopping current flow as on a fuse...at this point, take a magnetic compass, follow the wiring harness coming from fusebox with compass...when you find the short, the needle on compass will suddenly point the opposite way...youve located your short
