Both rear doors on 2001 Lincoln Cont freeze open in winter. How to prevent ?

Thank you. Now that I got both doors closed, one is locked shut and won't open. Probably broken with my trying to slam it shut. Someone mentioned an 'actuator' ? Is that a major fix ? Also, interior lights go on and off at will and drain the battery. Is that a bad contact in one of the doors ? I appreciate your reply.
