what's wrong with windshield wipers?

suspect turn signal/multifunction switch.when you push the washer button in,that's working like it should,about 3 or 4 swipes and some washer fluid is it,then they turn off!i understand it just started a couple of months ago,and they worked fine before that.but,that switch can go out,partly or everything will quit.it's 20 years old and has been used a lot over those 20 years.the switch will have to be replaced,it's about $100.00 at the Zone,lifetime warranty,if you do it yourself.
