What is your question?
If I am starting the vehicle for the first time of that day its much worse than if its already been driven, a loud metallic knocking sound will follow immediately after the RPM settles down from initial turnover. This sound will not stop and has been happening everyday for almost two years. However, this other clicking sound just really irks me and has been a vexed issue between me and my husband. When the truck is in park and idle it is very steady clicking sound, however push down on the gas pedal and it gets much louder and faster until either it subsides below the roaring sound of the engine or stops all together (not quite sure).. My analogy of a playing card in the spokes of a bicycle tire for describing this noise, best picture i can paint. Simply because as the spokes spin around the card keeps up in sound and speed of the tire and eventually you will not hear it at all, same darn thing. Not that I needed to explain that to professionals. Anyways, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!

There are too many possibilities here for online diagnosis. Have an experienced mechanic listen to the engine - trained ear is invaluable for this type of concern. May need to leave vehicle at auto repair facility so this can be evaluated on cold start up. Good luck!
It is not beneficial at all for us to post a list of the possibilities - inevitably the same *hands-on* diagnosis by qualified personnel will still be required.
