What is your question?
I have a 2000 Lexus RX300 and it is making a clicking sound while its turned off. The sound is like the same sound that happens that the battery is drained and you try to turn on the car. However, when I put the key in, the clicking stops and the car is normal and turns on. What does this mean and what should I do?
What makes this problem better or worse?
putting key in ignition
How long has your 2000 Lexus RX300 had this problem?
a couple days

Indicative of a ‘confused’ HVAC baffling actuator that isn’t stopping at the desired position - but is trying to. You’ll need professional *hands-on* assistance with this one. Good luck!
Some refer to this as a “blend door actuator”.. Changes position with key cycles - on / off.. IF the position change isn’t property completed - clicking noise results. Not a critical repair - HOWEVER this should be evaluated by qualified personnel.
