i just replaced the alternator. THE VSC light on dash has come on. wont turn off

The VSC light won't go off when I press the button. Nor will the cruise control engage when I press it

Actually the ABS module needs to be scanned to help find out why the VSC light is on!... Cruise will not engage while a fault is present...
