I have starter put in my lexus ls 400. Now it want stay running. What's the prob

Normal starter replacement procedure requires battery negative cable removal as first step .. *ANYTIME* battery voltage is lost - idle strategy is also lost.. Engine operation will re-learn / restore idle strategy - typically within 15 minutes. Good luck!
