What is your question?
Have had recent issues with starting car. Purchased car from family friends in late April, had no issues. Towards the middle of June and into early July, would have a hard time starting car when it has been sitting outside in the hot sun for several hours at a time. It might take 3-4 pushes before car actually starts. Battery checked- no problem. Battery in key fob replaced, and switched key fob thinking that one was “over-used”. Both key fobs also reprogrammed, did not solve the problem. Have taken the car to 2 repair shops- one reprogrammed fobs, the other was able to recreate the problem, but claimed it was only when technician was holding push to start button for too long. 3 weeks pass (with “cooler” weather, high 80s) with no problem. Currently around 95 during hottest part of day, with heat index of 105, and having trouble starting again. Technician at 2nd repair shop was unable to find solution on Lexus forums and repair logs. What is the most likely issue, and the repair?
What makes this problem better or worse?
When it’s hot outside
How long has your 2007 Lexus IS250 had this problem?

What happens during the pushes when it doesn't start? Is the engine turning over or is nothing happening? Alex
When the failure IS present - *brake lights* should be checked for proper operation.
Yeah - it sounds crazy I know .... However it may provide a valuable clue..
The dashboard lights up, the dials move, and the radio or AC will come on. However, the engine is still not on. Sometimes pressing the start button does nothing, and the dashboard doesn’t illuminate at all.
