Yes, certainly. First thing I did but all fuses checked out ok. I think it is a relay problem since several components lost power simultaneously. I just now checked the electrical schematics and the centre panel is collectively powered so could be the heater relay or stereo relay if there is one. This can cause a power failure to the cluster.
well,if that's what you think it is,swap relays,if you have another one just like it in the fuse box.or if not, just go to the parts house and pick one up,around $20.00.
No I am in the UK now but the registration software needed a US address so I gave it my old University address in Ohio.
OK PROBLEM SOLVED THIS MORNING!!! After driving around for ages with out all the centre panel, I checked out all relays and all were working fine. SO I rechecked fuses and on the up right inside panel (remember we are right had drive in the country) I found two fuses that I previously couldn't see because of the difficult angle.. I pull one out and it is blown. It is the cigarette lighter fuse. The original owner has had a replacement but it is 7.5. Service manual says it should be 15! So I insert a 15 and presto I have back climate control, clock, radio/stereo, adjustment to external mirrors. Front middle panel lis now functional. Don't you just love it when you save $120 just to have them look at the problem and then huge charges for minutes it takes to solve. I think I just saved a couple of hundred dollars and all fixed for a few cents for a replacement fuse!
amazing what a little trouble-shooting will find!good work.glad you found it.and yes saved a few hundred most likely from what i've seen people charge for less than that!
