No odd noises, heats when it wants to, then it will stop heating. Back and forth. Upper 30,s outside you could go 1-2 blocks or 1-2 miles before it heats then just cool air.

Observe engine temperature gauge for fluctuations - possible engine thermostat malfunction. *Hands-on* testing required.

Next test - when heater output turns cool - grasp heater hoses (under hood) - are hoses hot or cold..? IF hoses are still HOT - there is a problem within the HVAC controls - - IF hoses are COLD - replace engine thermostat. Good luck!
