Most common reason is a loose fitting gas cap. Retighten or replacing gas cap may take care of the issue. If it was not fully tightened last fill-up, the code would show up. Other poss., is a small hose leak in the evap. recovery system. That could take a 'smoke test' at a shop to discover the location of the leak. Good luck!
small leak detected in the evap system.poss loose gas cap or in need of one. good place to start
When did you get gas last. Code is for a small evap leak which might a loose or unaligned gas cap. Inspect it and look for wear on the rubber o-ring as well. If worn or torn replace it and have the code reset. You can call Contra Costa Auto Service at (925)798-1205 and have them look at it if the cap doesn't work. GL
Replace the gas cap. I have same car and had same problem. Fixed now!
