Car in rear end accident. Now there is a rattle in rear that cannot identify. Is there any known issues with something coming loose in gas tank after accidents.

Who and HOW are you trying to diagnose this 'noise'? By yourself , or has a shop(including the body shop that did the initial repairs) looked at it? Need to know , to avoid wasting more time.
