klicking noise from under dash, air direction stuck on one position

Failed actuator motor , or component connected to it. Visual/physical confirmation may be possible. May need to remove some under-dash trim , then have a flashlight and turn the key on and put HVAC controls to whatever makes it 'click' and start looking. Some are (relatively) easy to find , some are a royal pain .
