Will not start

which side of filter if clogged may only be good on 1 side. check injector pulse. is check eng light on befor. should have a good scanner to check system may lead u in another direction.

Am not sure about the Kia, but I,ve had this problem with an Isuzu, and a chevy Barretta, both fuel injected-it turned out to be the fuel pressure regulator. located on one end of the injection fuel rail. It is said that if it's bad, there will be a little bit of fuel leaking from it, but I have found that that is not always the case. I know of no way to check these things other than replacing it?? Maybe go to a salvage yard, pull one off of a used vehicle and see if that works. I usually try the cheapest thing first. There aren't any "mechanics" anymore- just educated guys that replace parts untill it runs again :) just my opinion.
