Semi retired, 25yrs in Steel erection and Fabrication, 14 yrs as a "household goods relocation specialist" :) ie furniture mover for United Van Lines. I work on cars, pickups as a hobby, but am getting a little old and worn out to do all that crawling under them, so it takes me longer to do something! Have worked on vehicles since I managed to "dismantle" the head off of one of my dad's farm trucks when I was 8 yrs old--problem was--first, the problem with the truck had nothing to do with the head (1949 Internationl 1 ton, 6 cyl) but I thought I would "help" dad, and fix his truck, and the Head was the biggest and easiest thing to get to---soooo! Anyway I have had my head under the hoo of a lot of vehicles since then. Guess I'm a certified shade tree mechanic! Problem is these new fangled "computerized cars" are a whole nother ball game--so now I'm a "certified shade tree mechanic", BUT, the tree fell down!! ;)
