Can you give me step by step instructions on how to clean or replace an air mass flow sensor for my 2000 Kia Sportage.

go to walmart or any parts store and buy you a can of CRC/Mass air flow sensor cleaner.Part Number: 05110.use this and NO OTHER CLEANERS. follow the directions on the can to clean it.DO NOT TOUCH THE SMALL/TINY WIRES ON/IN THE SENSOR.google this part number for a picture of the MAF sensor> 74-10050....FIRST>,disconnect negative battery cable,to clean or replace it,loosen the two clamps on the air intake tube,UNPLUG one electrical connector on the sensor.take it out of the air intake tube,follow directions on the cleaner,reinstall after it dries,won't take very long for chemical to dry,or to replace the sensor,reverse install.hook negative battery cable back up, last.
