2019 KIA soul I-80/94 blinded by steam & ample water spraying from the defrost vent

This problem took place after two years of excellent performance. Damp cool morning I jumped onto the highway at 70 mph windshield glass began to fog and I turned the defroster on high! Water and steam sprued out from both vents spraying onto our faces and totally fogging the glass! This lasted until I was run off the highway and came to a stop then by turning off the blower controls the steam stopped! Thought (mistakenly) it was due to a broken heatercore, returned car to dealership for care and they claimed it's an issue with these cars for some time now having to due with the air conditioning system. Very Dangerous!
