While driving today, in car about 10 minutes, my a/c started to blow warm air.
What is your question?
When I started car it was cold but 10 minutes into my drive its no longer cold. I haven't had any issues previously, and there has been no decline in temp gradually. The ac is blowing up to par, just warm/hot air. What could the problem be? I'm scheduled to take it in for service Monday, but want to be ahead of the game so to speak.

That may help other owners as well... Kinda curious myself on one that new!.. I'm sure it's not much wrong.... no use for anyone but the dealer to even look at it...
It was my a/c condenser. The reason for it breaking was a rock hit it and caused a puncture. I was livid bc warranty wont cover his and Kia says it'll cost me 900 to fix it. The technician said it happens quite often and I too researched this issue. He was correct. If its reoccuring why arent they putting a protective screen around it or even better change the location of it. Its by the radiator, in front, and theres a big enough hole below it for debris to fly up and damage easily. Bad engineering I think. Luckily I found the condenser online for 90 bucks and have a sibling that can put it in and recharge it.
That very thought ran through my mind as i replied the first time!!! ... Have seen this before but did not research it as to how often it happens... I agree with you 100%...... There is a problem here that needs to be corrected by Kia Motors or Hyundai actually!!! ... Contact the corp. office directly and at least state your opinion.!!... I would be po'ed myself if it were my vehicle!!
I did call today and made a complaint as well as my husband. I'm very leery of this issue being as common as it is. Who's to say that the technician didn't puncture that hole when he noticed that the condenser was no longer working. It wouldn't surprise me a at all if that was protocol. He did say that he sees the issue with Kia Optimas more often bc they sit so low to the ground. I have a feeling that with the awful service that I've gotten more often that not with the dealerships that they do whatever they can to save them from having to pay for a "warrantied" part. Whats the point in having a warranty if whatever happens is NEVER covered? This is the 2nd out of pocket expense since purchasing the car in Nov 2013.
I find you cant trust car dealers. That's why I buy from an individual with cash. They usually know the vehicles inside and out. If it were me and I had that condenser problem I would install a plate to protect it. But that's me.
Thanks for the feedback and I will post outcome.

Yes we bought a plate to cover it also.
Just remember, air has to pass through whatever you use to protect the condenser! Just saying.
Thanks. I stand corrected, its a screen that goes around it not a plate.
I figured that....
