What's causing my car not to start

Car doesn't take a jump. Alternator, starter, and battery all ruled out. At first the only way to get it to start was to turn the key to the on position, shift the gear from park to drive, then back to park. As of four days ago it would start with only your foot on the brake (not a push to start)
