could I knock out the center of the convertor to make it run right

probably cylinder misfires, do not knock a hole in the convertor, that would be a stupid thing to do.

I HAD A SIMILIAR PROBLEM ON THE HIGHWAY AND IT WAS THE TPS. (THROTLE POSITION SENSOR).Did not have a warning lite. Neuf
