While going along in 5th gear, if I hit the gas it hesitates like it might die out. So I back off of the pedal a little and then accelerate, no problem.

What is your question?

I changed the plugs and wires at 130,000.It ran great up until about 220,000. It hesitates when shifting from 1st to 2nd, I have to really give it the gas for it to smooth out. It shifts fine into all gears. In 5th gear at about 55 to 60 m.p.h. if I try to accelerate it hesitates. I back off of the pedal and then work it back to full acceleration.

What makes this problem better or worse?

Babying the gas pedal working it to full acceleration helps
