check Engine light won't go off because I have a leak in this canister and so I can't get it inspected by the end of the month. Where can I get one?

let me see, maybe parts house?if that's what is bad,and has already been smoke tested, and the vent valve solenoid is working and the purge valve, and no leaks in the hoses.around $100.00 plus labor.VC4305 $85.99 plus tax.special order,at the ZONE.
I did have it smoked and that is what they are telling me. Problem is they are saying this part isn't available anywhere until October which means I can't get it inspected because the check engine light stays on. Even though this part has nothing to do with passing inspection. Sucks
i gave you the wrong part number?the part number for the vapor canister is VC4501.the part is $143.99 plus tax. i just called the store on BUFFALO ST.CORNING,NY.(607)-937-4352 and they said if ordered and paid for by 5:00 p.m. today, they will have it tomorrow by 3:00 p.m.if ordered tomorrow,it will be there Monday or Tuesday, via FEDEX!
Thank you. I will call them and let you know how it goes. I appreciate your help..
your welcome.
Hi, my 2010 Sedona shows the P0456 code on the ODB2 tester. My KIA dealer says changing the canister is a 400$ job. Does that sound right to you? How much time does this job take? Thanks for any info you may have!
I have a 2012 Kia Sedona 7 seat passenger van and I am unable to get the canister until October as no one has one anywhere so good luck finding what you need. The job was quoted as $390.00 once the part is available so $400.00 is far off. I thought I could use a universal part but was told it might not work and I would be out the money so waiting for Kia part. Good luck.
as i stated in previous answer.Autozone can order it,and have it the next day,via FEDEX!the part number is VC4501. it's $143.99 plus tax.it takes less than an hour to change it out.it takes the same part for both your vehicles!VC4501......google the part number, see what it looks like, then crawl up under it,and you'll see it.now you can pay the dealer $400.00 or call Autozone and ask them about ordering it,and save some money!!good luck with it.
I appreciate your help but the part # you gave me is not a Kia part #. I called a mechanic and was advised that this part might not work and I would be out that money and would have to turn around and buy the Kia part anyway. I took it somewhere else and they were able to pass my van as it met 4 of the 5 EVAP problems that NY requires. I plan on having it rechecked once the Kia part is availabe. Thank you for your efforts and time.
