Trunk sensor light remains on

I’m referring to the TRUNK LIGHT .. Does it turn off when trunk lid is closed?

I did this prior to posting initially. The light did not turn off. I have removed light bulb.

The switch in inside the latch - spray BUNCHES of WD-40 down into the latch assembly then close / open trunk lid a few times. Stuck ajar switch is suspect - WD-40 should free up switch.. ( NEED TO KNOW > Does vehicle have rear spoiler mounted on trunk lid? )
