I have to press on gas pedal for my car to start everytime I get gas. I changed the canister purge valve and it's still doing the same thing, any suggestions?

The canister itself may be fuel fouled - the usual culprit is topping off fuel tank when refueling which forces raw fuel into the evap system components.. This becomes even more pronounced when ambient temperatures rise and fuel from overfilled tank expands. *Hands-on* inspection by qualified personnel will be required.
