So you know the (hands-on) Kia Tech is wrong..???... We can't do any better!... Just wondering though, what if you just turned the key off and let the fan run.... Will it cut off on its own after a moment or two??
No it runs the battery down
Certainly a qualified technician would/should know that's not right!... Seems like a relay may be the culprit but it's hard to say without testing!
I know it they said they did run tests and found nothing could it be in the ignition switch since I can get it to stop when I play with the key what I do is pull the key put it back in the ignition put it in the start position without turning it on and it usually stops
That still could be a relay sticking and when you cycle the key it releases... but that's just a guess!... This is obviously an intermittent problem the tech can't duplicate!
Correct but is is happening more often now if I was able to get in touch with someone at Kia corporate could they have knowledge of this problem
Possible but hard to beat a Tech that can actually see the problem when/IF it's there!
Why do you say if I know it is happening have had to have car jumped several times when it caused battery to go dead
Because *IF* it's not acting up at that time there's no way ANYBODY can fix it!!!!!
