We installed the right front axle on a wranger limited series 44.

After installing the axle, we went to start the jeep and the starter made a wierd banging noise. We bought a new starter and the noise is the same. Sounds like the starter is hitting the flywheel. We did not have this problem before installing the axle. Can't see how this affects the flywheel or the starter. Help. I am out of money and do not know what to do.

There is no way installing a front axle shaft had any thing to do with the starter motor!
Low battery voltage will cause very strange things to occur - was the key left on while work was being done - try jump start just for the hell of it..
