What is your question?
Hello! I was just curious, but after about a month, I noticed, that the brakes have been squeaking and etc. I think the sun roof leaks some too, because whenever it rains really hard, but I may not have closed the sunroof all of the way that one time, but that is the least of my concerns. Anyways, i have been noticing that the brakes are squeaking and I took it to a Firestone location near our home and they told me that it would cost me somewhere around $700 to fix and that the brake pads or brakes, were cracked or similar, when they had put them in and I was just wondering is all, but if it is a major concern or should I just drive it still for a little while until I can have someone check them out or what exactly? Also, I think Firestone, was just trying to get money out of me, because they changed the oil and took care of etc., when I bought the car. They made sure etc. was done ahead of time, though or so I thought everything was taken care of before-hand!!!! Thanks for any help!
What makes this problem better or worse?
If I don't hit the brakes too hard or if I lightly tap them, then they are okay.
How long has your 2016 Jeep Patriot had this problem?
I would say longer than a month!

Hello, you mentioned the brake pads were just installed and need replaced already because they are cracked? I feel like i'm not understanding properly, please advise when the current brakes were installed and who installed them, and then maybe I could respond better. Thanks!
Do yourself a huge favor and have a trusted independent automobile repair facility check your vehicle over for you. I have no regard for these big name chain stores like FIRESTONE !! Have had some experience with that particular chain that involved a couple of customers - long story short - it wasn’t pleasant.
I’ll just add the information these customers received from Firestone regarding their vehicles was not accurate at all - will leave it at that. Good luck!
Hello DaveJM! i bought the vehicle from CarMax, and I believe it was in April. They had etc. done and they told me that there shouldn't be anything wrong with my car, but when I took it to a Firestone location, near our home, though they told me there was a crack and it had to do with the whole brake etc. That is all I know. I think i still have my paperwork and etc., from when i had my tire fixed from Firestone, that cost me $100 and i guess there was a plug that was placed in the tire and they told me I needed to have it fixed, because if I were to take it on the highway and just to be safe, but they found that out, when I had originally just wanted to get my brakes fixed, but it was too much I thought, when supposedly etc. was done when I bought the car. I still think I should read the fine print more on my warranty. I think i am paying extra for in the long run for some sort of insurance, but i forget. I can't remember all of those things, though, but i should I guess? I hope i didn't confuse you and answered your question in more detail, though?
It's imperative you visit your CarMax location, share your experience, and find a way to approach any and all of your vehicle concerns. And yeah, I'd avoid going to Firestone again.
