What is your question?
Car has been in the dealer for a week. Finally a bad connection was found Now a new IPM was put in but it fried when the car was started. What next?

That is the main power control box for the vehicle and it is not just a fuse/relay box. It is a module just like your computer is. Any voltage spike, or other voltage issue can wipe it out, just like any other computer you have been around.
Thanks for the reply. The car is still not working--they found a loose connection, repaired that, and then put in a new BCM. But when they started the car, the component "fried." So now we are back to square one! I wish I had know about the TIPM problems that Chrysler is having with some of their products. I would have never bought the vehicle. Now I will be plagued with problems all over the car because it regulates everything in the vehicle. And they still have my car for another week and it is only 8 months old! Thanks again.
Have been through hell and back with these products. Best wishes
