New panel looks exactly the same as the old one except the old has exactly the right amount of pins for the connector, the new has all of the pins as for universal.

The only wires that connect to the new panel assembly is for the window motor - everything else remains the same - I’m not following what you’re saying here..
Unless the new switch itself is different some-how - but that’s not part of the panel.
