Check engine light on. Scanner shows "transmission malfunction and code p 1776. Not clear on the explaination....please.....

Everything fine then one day heard a sound like a whush under hood. Check engine light on and the gas pedal feels odd when accelerating now. However i dont see any major transmittion slipping. Does not leak any fluids.

What makes this problem better or worse?

How long has your 2003 Jeep Liberty had this problem?

Just came on this week. Not driving it til i find out what needs fixed
