What is your question?
My brother backed his white Jetta into my driver side door while the door was open, and his car slid all the way across the door towards the front panel. There is a small chip in the paint, no larger than 1 centimeter, where he hit the car, and a light (not very noticeable) dent and white mark from the scrape of the Jetta. I sought advice from 2 Auto Body shops. One recommended that it is so small and light that I should get a touch-up kit from the dealer, and the other recommended that for $500, they will sand down the driver door, front panel, and half of the rear driver side door, pull the dent out, fix the paint and blend it with the rest of the car. I'm not worried about money because my brother is going to pay for it, but I do have reservations about removing so much factory paint and blending. I don't want the paint to look different than the rest of the car and want quality paint. I also don't want a dent in my brand new car. Any advice is welcome. I have pictures as well.
