Where can I get info or determine if possible to upgrade my 3.7 V6 to a 4.7 V8 without major transmission or mounting issues ?

Stay with the 3.7L unless your wallet is deep. It is not an advised swap because all of the Main Electronic Modules are programmed (Front Control Module [FCM]) with data on what the vehicle was equipped with when it left the Assembly Plant. You cannot change this data. Besides the Engine, you will have to replace the Transmission, Exhaust system, Engine Wiring harnesses, Powertrain Control Module, Transmission Control Module and as mentioned above any other Module etc.
