What is your question?
I have a check engine light on for my idle air control valve. I took it out of the throttle body and cleaned it. The check engine light is still on. My question is, if the idle air control valve was good after I cleaned, it would the check engine light turn off, or would I need to get the code cleared for the light to turn off. If it would turn off, I will buy a new one and replace the old one, I just don't know if the check engine light would turn off without clearing the code.
