If it is a hissing or sounds like air escaping when pedal is pushed... Have the brake 'Booster' and its vacuum circuit checked by a qualified mechanic!... This is also based on your previous posted question about "more energy" needed to push brake pedal to stop vehicle.... Poor vacuum or a failing brake Booster WILL cause that problem as well.!!!
