Yeah it could easy be warped break discs(rotars I think you call them there) or even something simple like needing the new tyres balanced properly.
It could also be your brake pads off the brake discs are worn and the pads are wearing unevenly. A close inspection by taking the front wheels off show perhaps show some grooves on your brake discs is their worn or uneven.
Front branks and rotors are only six months old, but the rotors appear warped, also my new back brank pads are snap in, the back prombs are bigger than the smaller old ones, but we squeezed them and got them in, thought that also could be problem
Unlikely that it will be the back brakes if your wobble is in the front wheels. The back brake pads are often difficult to get in as the new pads are always thicker/wider than the old ones you are taking off. When your replacing the brake pads, I take it you took off the cap from the brake fuid reservoir under the hood? That easies of the pressure on the pistons and makes it easier to get the new pads in once you push them back in.
Is it only one wheel that wobbles or both? Does the wobble only happen when you are braking or is all the time?
It happens when I reach 30 miles. An hour not as bad after replacing the bearings, but I still get the wobby. Pretty. Bad the guy thinks it's an 80 percent better, yet my car still shouldn't wobby, do you have a mechanic in the Harrisburg pa 17111 area
Hi again. I know you said that you had new tyres fitted, along with bearings, brakes and other bits, but that honestly sounds to me to be a simple wheel balance problem. After you have had wheels balanced, they can easy go off balance by hitting the kerb, a hole in the road or other simple things like that. They can also go off balance occasionally after doing wheel bearings or other front suspension work, or even just not been properly done in the first place! The fact that it is only happening at about 30mph really suggests that it is the wheel balance. If it was something more serious it would wobble all the time. An unbalanced wheel can be fine until it reaches a certain speed and then once passed that speed it is fine again. It is also possible that a small lead weight has fallen off after it was balanced. I would also ensure that the two tyres on the front are the same make on each side. You could even try changing the rear tyres with the front ones to see f that helps. It can really be something as simple as that. It definitely doesn't sound anything very serious to me. If it was a warped brake disc, it would only happen under braking. Sorry, I can't help you with a mechanic where you are. I'm from Dundee, Scotland and just a Jaguar enthusiast who is know on their 5th Jag and gone through almost every problem and expense possible with these beautiful machines! In fact, ai am just about to change the timing chain tensioners on one of my cars this weekend! Hope this helps you. If not let me know how you get on.
Thanks again, I've had the balance checked and double checked .check new front tires, new bearings, rotors.thinking could be an unnoticeable bent rim, so I must change them all and new tires on the back, and if that don't solve it, I will be lost with no were else to turn. My last resort will be something internal with my driveshelf. Looks fine on the outside. There just wont be any were else to turnand start to get the virbration at 30 miles and as I travel on. The faster I go the worser it gets sorry I didn't mention that, this car has consumed me.
I put two new tires and reuplaced both. Wyheel bearings, will a worped rotor. Cause the wobby?
