Followed dswan answer to alarmn, no start problem...no results..dswan 11-21-12

It just sounds like a problem with the anti theft mechanism of the vehicle that will require hands on testing with proper test equipment and repair manuals handy.

Is this an aftermarket alarm system?

Is your door handle working correctly? The alarm system is connected to the door locking mechanism,if your door won't open and close correctly you can't disengage the alarm you can pull the battery a week later it will still honk when you reconnect it.This is how I fixed mine.First disconnect battery then to save your sanity disconnect the alarm Sounder or whatever it called it's by the windshield wiper fill neck on the passengers side of the engine then if you engage it the lights will just flash.Then get a trim remover tool and get inside the door push the unlock rod so the door unlocks and it will start again.Now you have to fix the rod which will test your paitence just remember the alarm is controlled by the key if your don't have the remote transponder. Good luck if you can afford it pay a mechanic it's worth the money it's a difficult repair.
