Ignition failed. I added a push button start now my transmission won't shift.

It's hard wired straight to the starter. The switch has to be used still for accessory power and to power the fuel pump but it won't start car. Does the electronic trans get its power from the ignition switch. My next guess is that the computer doesn't recognize that the motor is running. Thank you for the suggestion Greg's Orange Auto. If you can think of anything else for me to try let n e know.
