What is your question?
I'm asking this question because, when my car is cold (early mornings) it refuses to start, and it seems like it needs a choke to assist it, because it eventually does start and once it gets warm it's perfect & starts perfectly
What makes this problem better or worse?
It refuses to start when cold
How long has your 2003 Jaguar X-Type had this problem?
Only this week AFTER I’ve had new plugs & coils fitted

This is going to require a professional scan test to determine exactly what parameters the computer is seeing from the engine coolant temperature sensor .. Test will need to be done while engine is COLD - may require leaving vehicle at repair facility overnight.
CTS is responsible for cold start fuel enrichment .. Does not mean the sensor itself is defective! Testing will help determine what has failed. Good luck!
Thank you so much, but you will have to forgive my ignorance on this, please tell him me what the CTS is exactly? Sorry to be a pest
No problem - Coolant Temperature Sensor. That what these forums are for - everyone is not a mechanic.
Thank you, I’ll get the mechanic I hired to fit the plugs & ign coils to check it out.
