went to have my jag inspected and was told I had two misfiring pistols and would cost $2,700.00 to repair I need a second opinion before spending that kind of money and don't have too

What code(s) were present? IF they guarantee the diagnosis and repair , $2700.00 sounds cheap for a major repair on a jaguar.... but it could be a 'simple' vacuum leak , so that is why 'PUSHROD' says TRUSTED repair shop , and I would add a technician with JAGUAR experience would be a plus!! No dealership within reasonable distance from you? Good product knowledge can cost more up-front , but be priceless in the long run!! PLUS the 'pistol' typo is funny as hell !!! Instead of getting pistons replaced due to 'bad gas' as your previous post says , why dont you run a few tanks of brand name premium first and see if the misfire clears up!
