when start up ac cools then after short time ac lights flicker and engine hunts(up &down)

As in answer 1 check your coolant level as well as the rest of the cooling system.Make sure your radiator cooling fan and condenser fan are working properly.Have somebody check ac pressures!!!An overcharged system or bad cooling fan will trigger the high pressure cut off switch and put a higher load on the engine possibly creating an erratic idle.Check and clean throttle body as well as idle air control valve.First step: Check ac pressures as i said before>Good luck and let us know what solved the problem.
