I have a problem with the tach signal,it is knocking out my distributor.

What is your question?

I have lost 3 distributors in just about a year. I get a code 12 in my snapon scanner but I have no tack signal. code 12 is supose to be OK. I have found oil getting into my distributor, is that normal? I hope someone can answer my questions

Fix the oil leaks! Oil inside the distributor will destroy the elect componets.

Thanks I'll try that but didnt find that till I tore the whole thing apart I'll get a new seal and Distributor pickup coil. On of those time I drew a blank Thank You, Glen Wagner
