Is LUCAS OIL Tranny additive ok to add without draining some out first?
What is your question?
Wanna add a 24oz. Lucas oil transmission additive to my tranny. The fluid level is good where its at. Do I need to drain some to make room for the bottle. Directions say "add to existing fluid". Worried about overfilling.

Had a little slip the other day. I dont know when it was last serviced but the fluid is good and pink with no bubbles. Not hard shifting or leaking just that one slip and it seems like it holds first a little too long. Under acceleration ( not hard accel )it'll hold then shift then shift again within a few seconds. Thx.
i have used lucas syn.motor oil additive, but never the transmission additive.there are mixed reviews on all kinds of additives, including lucas.the place that rebuilt my transmission,in my f150 will not use anything but LUBEGARD
RED.he will not rebuild a tranny for any make vehicle unless he adds a bottle of the red lubegard.another guy who has a very large shop, about 20 miles from me will not service a transmission unless he puts a bottle of the lubegard red in it.he services all the police cars in his town, and alot more people.research the lubegard, see what you think.NAPA has it,if you want it.if you want the names of the 2 places, reply back and i will give info so you can call and ask questions.good luck.
