The fuel light is always on and the gauge is at empty. When the tank is full, the light turns off and the gauge goes up a little. After driving for a little while it goes back to empty and light flashes.

more than likely when that does happen,it's the sender/float arm/switch part of the fuel pump module assembly that is bad,and rarely it's the gauge.BUT,you may just want to put up with it,and just use your trip button to keep up with the miles so you don't run out of gas.(THE PUMP IS STILL WORKING). look to the right of this page, click on problems.then when you see this click on it and READ>>Check Engine Light and Erratic Fuel Gauge Operation.<< 46 people reported this problem....
