I have a 99 QX4 (previously owned a 98 QX4) and I've been experiencing the very same thing. Very scary and odd. Swaying in the rear that increases with speed but also when depressing and pressing the gas (steering pulls left) and pressing and depressing the brake pedal (steering pulls right) and when combined with the rear swaying....death trap in winter is all I'm thinking. I've done some research and so far I've come up with the same issue in the QX4 and Pathfinders of similar years. What I'm getting is its the bushings in the upper and lower trailing arms on both sides. If you can afford to replace the whole arms it's super simple. If you have the tools, just the bushings if the arms are still good. I'm getying ready to replace mine and hope this will fix the issue. If it does, I'll be sure to let you know! If you find any different causes I would love to hear them too! Good luck ^_^
