Would that ticking noise everyone else is talking about on an INFINITI G37

Modern engines CONSUME OIL , that is NORMAL , TO AN EXTENT. How many miles between changes? What amount is mentioned as normal , in the owners manual for your car? Hondas' limit is 1 quart per 1,000 miles driven. IF you are going 5,000 miles between changes , and adding only 1 quart , I would think you're okay. As far as the 'ticking noise , possibly timing chain 'tensioner' which I believe is hydraulic on those.
