my fuel door wont open ,i have never had this happen, seems like there may be a switch in side panel holding door from being opened

emergency release in the trunk.directions are in your owners manual.

The same thing happened to me on my 03' coupe. In my case it was a little spring mechanism that is i a little rubber boot that that pops the door open was broke.
