Can’t say what is or is not normal as far as the security system goes on ‘your’ vehicle. However I can recommend taking the keys out of the vehicle and secure them in a safe place before leaving vehicle to go fishing.. Put keys in tackle box or front pocket maybe. Referencing the owners manual will likely be helpful here.
