What is your question?
I've been having an issue with my brakes for months now. I even took it to the dealership to have them test drive and inspect them, and they said everything was fine...clearly not. No matter what speed you're going, or what pressure you apply to the brakes, there's a jarring bumpiness that sounds and feels like the rotor's are shot or something. It's mostly felt in the front, under your feet. There doesn't seem to be any grooves in them and the pads are fine, so I'm looking for some help on what this could be and how much it would cost to fix, before I take it in and they just start ripping things apart. I've also recently started getting a very jumpy, sluggish start off whenever I'm stopped, like at a light or something, and start to move again. It came on very sudden...one day it was fine, the next, this was happening. And it seems to be getting worse. Again, what could this be and how much would it be to fix? Thanks for any help you can provide!

Brakes can seem fine, but you can spot issues upon tear down. If you have hot spots in the rotor that are hard to see but are visible on a resurfacing, that could cause noise and a grind feeling. If the brake pad has cracks in it, it could cause noise and a grind. Missing pad shims and such can cause noise and grind. You could also have a wheel bearing issue (less likely). It would be worth pulling the caliper off and having a look a little further. Dealerships and most repair facilities are usually reluctant to tear anything down unless they can verify the problem first and really experience it. It's hard to really stand behind something you are really unclear about. About the jumpy sluggish start - a good diagnosis - especially using Hyundai's GDS diagnostic tool, which is very complete and an excellent tool - is in order to evaluate what is going on that can be improved. Perhaps there is something in memory that the processor has noticed. You could also have a transmission based concern - have you had the fluid changed? Hyundai's are very sensitive to needing transmission services, even though sometimes they don't suggest service in the owners manual for quite some miles. I strongly recommend a fluid service every 30,000 miles. The Hyundai fluid tends to break down fairly rapidly in my experience. A diagnosis is in order, either way. Good luck!
